Hey,

I’m just guessing … but if you clicked on the photo, you probably want to know a little more about me.

Here are some details—

I’m a world travelers and world citizen, currently residing in the southern California area (spring 2007). Prior to moving out West, I lived in the southeast in NC, Georgia and SC for 6 years. In the mid-90s, I headed to Haifa, Israel for four years, serving as a volunteer at the World Centre of the Bahá'í Faith, a religious organization.

After leaving Israel in 1999, I went directly to Ghana in West Africa to serve the Faith for another 15 months as the editor/compiler of a national quarterly news magazine for the Faith in that country. (I had previously visited East Africa—Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania—before selecting Ghana for my period of service.)

I returned to the states in 2000 for the sole purpose of having a surgical operation, but somehow I have remained here longer than expected. This will change, God-willing, when the time is right. I did have the operation, compliments of the NIH (National Institute of Health), and my attending physician told me after surgery that mine was a textbook case. Many people witnessed the operation but I never got to meet any of them, and hopefully I’ll never get to read that textbook!

I really enjoy surfing the web for information and use my sites to pass on some of that information to visitors just like you. Since September (2003), I have built many websites for JusLo and Associates and Pupil of the Eye Publications.

Why since September? Before then I had the motivation, but not the energy to do anything after my 9-5 J.O.B. (Just Over Broke!). Then I started taking a liquid multivitamin and two other products from an online company** whose name I had gotten from a nutritionist. And the rest, as they say, is history. More energy, more clarity of thought, more elevated moods, more regularity. Everything changed. Finally I had found supplements that made a real difference in the quality of my life. In the last two months, one of the products has also saved me from taking ANY pain pills during that time of the month, and that makes me very happy. Oh, but I digress…

In my day-life I work as a Disability Adjudicator (thru August 2005) and consequently get to learn all about the diseases/illnesses that people complain of and ultimately qualify to receive Social Security and SSI Disability benefits for. I also build informational website dealing with alternative health, disability and skin care.

I was born in the great state of South Carolina, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. My Bachelors is in Psychology. (I won’t tell you how long ago I received it…cause that’s really none of your business :)-

My work career has spanned many areas, including providing social and legal services for poor and disabled people in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia, working as a newspaper journalist covering the health, education, welfare and religion beats, serving as editor of a national and international news bulletin, and working as an entrepreneur providing secretarial and bookkeeping services to small businesses. Last year (2002) I worked part-time as an income tax preparer for one of the local firms. Don’t think I’ll do that again! Yes…it’s true. I haven’t a clue what I am going to be when I grow up, but I am having lots of fun trying to figure it all out.

I really enjoyed being self employed and having more flexibility in setting my own hours, mostly because I am a boni-fied night person. The mornings don’t like me. How do I know they don’t like me? ‘Cause they use bad words to wake me in the mornings and even fowler language when I refuse to get out of bed—even after the alarm has sounded for the 9th time. Oh how I long for the days when I can wake up unprompted!

Besides "advancing confidently in the direction of my dreams" and experiencing my first real addiction (internet fever), another of my passions is reading and writing poetry, but as of late I have not focused on my creative side too much, unless you include building websites from scratch. That takes some creativity, doesn’t it? (Or was it just the two great website builders I happened upon?) I do, after all, have this gift of calling good things into being in my life.

All I can say is I am learning so much as I go along.

Well, that’s enough about me. What about you! Why not take a minute to post your health story on our online forum or email me directly. I’d love to hear from you.

Your Partner-N-Health,

Lo
